I wanted to make you aware that we’ve seen a small increase in vehicle-related crime in the Strelley area, particularly involving items being stolen from parked vehicles. While the overall numbers remain low, it’s important we all take steps to prevent further incidents.

Here are some simple but effective tips to help protect your vehicle and belongings:

Remove all valuables from your vehicle when unattended – even items like bags, coats, or loose change can attract thieves.

Lock your vehicle and double-check windows are fully closed every time you leave it.

Park in well-lit areas or secure car parks whenever possible.

Avoid leaving keys near doors or windows inside your home – thieves may use tools to reach them.

Consider installing security devices such as steering locks, alarms, or dashcams.
